Sports camp

I think I was more nervous about sports camp than James! As evidenced by this dream I had between 5:35-5:45. Kassie woke me at 4:30am and I couldn't really get back to sleep, but when I did it was only brief with this dream.
We were late for sports camp and I kept forgetting things and having to go back. It was already 10am (the camp starts at 8:30am). The toilet seat had lost it's pins, so was loose. I couldn't find James hat.
In real life we made it to sports camp early and I arrived at work at 8:23am, so not the worry that my mind made it out to be!

Hospital

James did not like his class at school partly because they put him in a 2/3 class instead of a 1. So I switched him into Lord Strathcona school.

I had to return a Sharon or Sarah's communication book to the office at school because i had picked her up.

I met the doctor as she was leaving and she told me to go in and they would give me something. I was in a room where we were all waiting. We were all the people being tested. Some of us got one thing and some got another. WE all could see what the others got. They also gave us green tags that we had to use when we went to the hospital.

Myron was getting some medical treatment at home in the apartment. There was a large tank of something in one room and Myron had a plastic hose with a mask attached to him. He was lying down. There was some guy beside me watching him with me.

I went to the hospital (I needed my green tag and communication book) but they weren't ready for me yet. My friend showed us and they told her they weren't admitting me yet. I asked if she could give them her cell # so they could reach us when they were ready as I didn't have a cell phone.

Pancakes

I was sitting at a table (maybe a board meeting) and Sarah came around with a big frying pan. She divided up the mixture and gave us each a bit that we had to make into something edible (a pancake). The food was like potato shavings that we had to mush together. Some of us had to do two.

Something with James' bus, had to divide up between Mon-Thurs and Fri-Sun

Shari

In my dream shari and i were part of a team praying for people. Afterwards I thanked her and she said the accuracy was there from getting thin (worn out) jeans. I was driving a bus. (to bring the people to prayer?)

Myron was drinking very dark ginger ale.

There was a car that a tow truck had put in the driveway, but I wasn't quite sure how it had done that. (from the way the car was set)

Burnt

I was at someone's apartment (maybe Lesley?). There were quite a few people there. We talked about the fire over the way. It was getting late and we needed to pack up. Myron kept telling me how late it was. We wanted to help.

We walked out of the apt. and there was an outdoor full kitchen. They were very busy there preparing food for those who had been affected by the fire. I had things to bring. A black lady had told me to carry her hot water bottles when I asked if I could help. I didn't know where the location of the fire had been, so I asked in the kitchen. They gave me instructions. It was on the inside of a catholic church. There was a sanctuary and then similar looking apartments on the side. It was one of the apartments where there was the fire. The wood was so pretty. When I got to the location of the burnt apt., I don't know what I was expecting, but there was a line up of people. I wanted to leave the hot water bottles and some of my money.

Al had put up a beautiful memorial plaque for a lady who had died (not in the fire). It was really, really nice. It had a picture in the back and some words printed on the picture about the lady. Part of one word was an umbrella to symbolize the gardener. Then Al had this collection (of doors?) that he wanted to take on tour for 5 years to Casablanca.

(I woke up thinking - Al - 5 years?- Casablanca? What are you thinking?)

ETA: I was really pleased with myself when I woke up from this dream- like I had progressed. Also, it seems to the the second in my series of Al.What.Were.You.Thinking dreams. Which is an odd series because in real life, i normally totally agree with how he thinks.

School

James woke me this morning at 4:30am out of this dream:

I was on the phone to our next door neighbour Theresa. I could see her while I was talking to her and she looked like Linda P.. She asked me if I had any prayer requests. I had to think but I said to pray about which Gr. 1 class James gets put in.

Don't give up

Michelle was in trouble. She was up in the attic lying on a bed in a fetal position. A guy and I were trying to get her up. After that I went in the basement to pray. She was going to be alright. Don't give up.

There were 2 boys on bikes. The one that had come with me had a funny half helmet on. The other boy brought a whole helmet.
I was supposed to go swimming in a pool at first I was hesitant but then I thought I could do it. Don't give up.

Unknown

Kathy S. was driving a city bus route but it was driving school children on the route. It was an extra route. We had to stop a lot. I asked her if she wanted me to sit at the back and she debated for a minute because they were being quiet, but we looked back and one of the bus seats was shifted over and a kid popped up saying something like 'Ronald McDonald' and I told Kath I would go to the back. We were both in agreement. I went to the back (I think I had to get dressed first so Kath had to wait) and then Kath took off and really took off - the bus started to fly! I looked down and we were passing over green wooded spaces with fancy swimming pools. Then the bus/plane bumped and started going down- people were upset but Kath managed to sort out the problem. I thought she's not that experienced. She brought us down ok though!

I was running a second year eng phys lab and I was marking the kids but there was one lab that I didn't know. I said I would have to come back and learn it the next day.

I was new in an office and had been working at my computer but for some reason I went into the interior office and started working on one of their computers but the computer wouldn't recognize me because I wasn't one of the profiles listed so it wouldn't let me do stuff. There was a guy named mark who was IMing one of the profiles on the computer. For some reason I could delete his stuff (I didn't mean to- it was accidental)

Trying to win

Kelly was trying to win a car on the price is right.

There was another reality tv show that I was on that occurred in a construction zone- i think it was to win some money and your life. There were some old time cabins that we had to sleep in. We had to get the construction site assembled as quickly as possible. There were assignments against our lives while we worked. Mine was leukemia.
There was an online thing with the different steps in the game as well as the different cars involved in each step.

Trip

I actually slept a long time last night! I went to bed at 9 (I was exhausted!), woke up at 10 with the storm, then slept until 5:45. This is an amazing amount of sleep for me! It also meant I had a lot of dreams, but I can't remember all of them, because it was such a long night.

The main one I remember is our Church going on a camping trip. I was standing on the edge of a cliff looking down on a clear lake. James was down by the lake and I could see him running around. The dog and cat were in the water. Cat going underneath the water for large amounts of time and looking quite funny when it came out.

There was a bunkhouse or something where we were staying. Sarah B. had given me some stuff for James. Tanya wanted something from her. Sarah wanted to go to the bathroom. She was looking after a kid. I said I could go in the bedroom and close the door and she could go to the bathroom. She said well she would just go to the bathroom in her room if she wanted. It was true - she had an ensuite!

conference

My father was attending a conference that must have been here in kingston. The first thing they were going to do was have a telescope tour at 8:50am. (odd time for a telescope tour, now that I think of it!) They were going to see a glimpse of the son and a glimpse of the moon. It sounded interesting. I asked my dad if he was going to go and he thought it was too early.

Because it was a conference there were masses of people everywhere I went. They were sitting in the center court and walking in the halls. I was running about as there were things I seemed to have to take care of.

There was a bee that got in the house and was following me. I called out to Myron, but he did not answer. I was looking for a flyswatter. But I walked to the back door with him following and let him out.

house

we all lived in a big house.

i came home late and the house was dark. I could tell i was talking to someone, but i couldn't tell who. I flicked on the light. There were 2 women in the kitchen Marsha and ? and they jumped when I turned on the light. They said they were watching soccer but had heard something and come down. Or they needed a drink.

Al spoke his sermon's in the house. In one he said in passing that after he smoked a cigarette, then went on with his story. I sat there stunned. I didn't know he smoked! And I was thinking - Al what are you thinking?

Then I went to vacuum and the cord was so neatly and tightly tied that I knew Al had done it, so I tried only to take a little bit of the wire that i needed to get the vacuum where I needed it.

basketball

I was having some conversations on facebook. there was one with someone named (or from?) TN who I thought from talking with them that she was an older lady. Her profile picture was this guy playing basketball, which I thought she had up to be funny. But Lesley let me know that TN was actually a guy she had met at a conference. Then there was a basketball game and she was right! The basketball was being tossed around. Some were more serious about the game than others. Some didn't care. Then the basketball turned into a boot. Odd, and more difficult.

My mother and I went into this artsy shop. My mom had put something on hold over the phone and we came in to see it. The lady behind the desk asked if she wanted to look at it on demonstration or another big word. My mother hesitated, then she chose the second word (can't remember) and we went to look at it. It was on a long counter. I looked and it was a rock with things glued to it, some felt and some googly eyes and I thought "Interesting things they call art these days"

Zoo

When I first woke up this morning, my first thought was : boy my dreams were busy! (and I got 7 hours of sleep- very nice! 7 hours of busy sleep)

There was a zoo that people had lined up to see. It seemed to be a floating zoo (on a boat?) and people were lined up on the dock. It was a long line-up. The members of the board were first in the line up. I think George was in charge of the zoo, but he had to go soon. Then part of the dock gave way and floated out into the water. A lot of people stayed on the dock as it was floating away and they were still able to see the animals. A few people fell off. George was one of the people who fell off. He was in the water, still barking his commands. The dock did not float so far. I jumped in to help George. He had to go. He left me in charge with his paper (which didn't seem to be harmed in any way by the fall into the water)

(IRL yesterday George left for France and left me in charge of all the conference stuff)

Dinner

I wanted to take Jasmine out to dinner or lunch. I thought it would be more fun for her if I invited more people. (For some reason in my dream i was inviting people in the physics department who Jas wouldn't know in real life). I invited Siow-Wang and Jennifer and maybe another female and then I went to invite Vincent. He was unsure because I had invited so many people and he would be the only male. He wasn't comfortable with that so he wanted to decline. I told him I could uninvite Jennifer if that made a difference.

Then maybe we were walking to the eating place and there was this awning that was on fire and there was a woman with a baby on the awning. The firemen were trying to get her down but she didn't want to get down. She wanted her and her baby to die.

Then we were walking through a parking lot and there were cars going by us.

(Then I woke up- I had slept 4 hours)

Tripping

My last dream was about mould of various types (probably from Al's mould story yesterday)

My complicated dream had Sandy and I on a trip. We were at a convention-type thing and there was lots of food laid out. Lots of it chocolate-y and very nice to eat looking. Sandy was picking up some and putting them in her bag for later. Because we had no food? We needed this. There were different tables with different treats on them. Then we went and hid in a hotel room, but I don't think it was our hotel room? We had barricaded the door shut. I had to lock the bathroom door with a push in lock. We did manage to escape the hotel room we had barricaded ourselves into. We were in a hall and there was an Italian looking old, rotund man. We had to avoid him. He had a bad temper.

Daycare

I had a class in the morning and I was taking him to daycare in the afternoon (who looked after him in the morning is what I thought when I woke up, but that was not a concern in the dream). So I brought him in and Myron was already there and started playing with him. There was a daycare worker there too. Maybe it was easier for Myron to play with James at the daycare? I had a note for the daycare, but didn't want to give it to the worker there as she seemed to busy, so I went to the office. Someone with short, straight dark hair was just leaving and she said to give the note to someone in the back as she was leaving. So I'm like "Who do I give it to?" and the lady was gone but someone from the back called out to me. I went back and told them my son was in the daycare and after I said that I realized that the woman I was talking to (Chinese) was one of the people who worked with him. And so she was all like I know that. She took the note. There were 2 other ladies in the room with her. (In real life, our daycare has no administrative office, just 2 workers)

I went into a corner store that was run by Don. They had this special dinner on a platter special that I wanted to buy for Myron. I asked if you heated the hamburger up in the microwave and Don was no, people like it cold. There was a pop there too and I wondered how they kept that fresh. I said I would take it and he dismantled the display for me. He put one thing in the microwave so he could spread the butter on half of the bun but the rest came as is. I didn't want to carry it on the platter as I had to go to work first, so we put it all in bags.

James and I were sleeping and we both woke up when Myron was running up and down the hall going "Psst". I was like - what are you doing? He didn't answer. James wanted the green band aid he had made.
