ordering pizza in the dark

Standing in line after ordering the food, the lights went out and it was total blackness. I thought it wouldn't be long before the lights came on, but I was wrong. We stood there a long time. The store called in backup and seemed to be working with no lights.

Later I was running through this broken down neighbourhood and I felt free.

Kim and Myron and James and I were staying overnight. Kim was trying to explain something to Myron. I was trying to sleep. James was sleeping.

There was a huge house framed in behind our house. It had used pretty much every square inch of its plot. We went round the front to look at it and it was done and there were people living in almost every square inch. They had just blocked off areas for themselves. Sometimes with pillows. So the other people's dogs wouldn't come in their areas.
