What dreams may come

A blog to keep track of my dreams and hear the interesting interpretations of others. The dreams are as much as I can recall of them and may be out of order and in rather rough format.

Choice

These teams were running an amazing race type of race. They had to run all over looking for clues and fulfilling tasks.
One team was Wajhi and a girl. Everyone thought they were a cute couple because they read together but she was married to someone else. They got on well though.
One team was running down the path at what seemed to be the edge of the country/island. It was beautiful. As they were going down the road it split. I looked like the left road went down to the water. The right road also went down a bit but it rose up again. They chose that road and they found a house. When they got in the house they found their task was they had to find something in the house and then lie down and point due north. They both pointed in the wrong direction the first time, but figured out north for their second guess.

What this says to me: Sometimes we have choices to make that require re-alignment.

Gifts

My mom and I were giving out gifts together. They seemed to be for black women. My mother gave out a blue fabric thing, like a bib, to one lady. I had picked out the next gift - a nice pair of sunglasses- but they were gone. The receipient was very upset that they were gone. I explained that I had allowed someone else to try them on, but then they were gone. Maybe stolen? The lady was very upset.

We were looking after 3 children- one was James, one was about 2 and he toddled into my room at 6am and we took them all to the park. It was light though (not like 6am now!)

Late for class

In my dream, my class (that I was to teach) was going to start in 5 minutes but I was still at home. I recall thinking that I was going to bike, so it wasn't that bad if I was a couple of minutes late. Why I stood around thinking about this rather than getting going, I don't know!

Path

I was in this big house and there were people sleeping over that I did not know. When I woke up in the morning the people that I did not know had put all sorts of crafts made with popsicle sticks into the toilet, rendering it unusable. I went downstairs to get a bag to put the crafts in to clear out the toilet. By the time I got back, someone had already started cleaning it out. So I left so they could finish. Gerald and Annette were in the house too. I talked to them and then left to go and order pizza. I was walking. It was early in the morning so it was quiet out. I walked down a road and there was a cube truck parked on the side of the road. I don't think there were sidewalks on this road but if there were, this truck would have been parked on the sidewalk. I had to choose which way to go around the truck- either the grassy side or the road side. I chose the grassy side. It went ok until I got about halfway past the truck and there really wasn't much grass left and the way down was a steep drop beside. I could see the rocks that I would fall on if I fell. So I decided to use the truck to help get me to the other side. I clung onto the truck and tried to inch my way forward. I was pushing all the side mirrors out of alignment. I got past the door, but then things were even trickier and I gave up and decided to go around the other way. As I was going past the passenger door again, I noticed that it was open, so I slammed it shut. When I did that, I heard a groan come from inside the truck. There was someone inside the truck! And I had just woken him up! So I scurried around the truck as quick as a could and went around the truck on the road side and hurried off as best I could.

When I got to the city, there was a woman there giving me a tour of the poor area. In one house, there was even a starving bird in the shadows in the hall. So I knocked over a bottle of cream soda so it could have something to eat (it was thick cream soda). The bird was gobbling it up hungrily. Another beautiful but dirty bird came out of the shadows and started to eat it as well. When the lady who was giving me the tour came back she picked up the bottle and cleaned up the remains. She didn't want the birds eating it.

Then I went to a place with tables and chairs to sit down. The man from the truck came up to me. I was worried but I said very firmly to him- Don't touch me. And he sneered, but he did leave.
