the crowd

 The students were on both sides of the auditorium as there were bleachers on both sides but for some reason they were only on one side. Everyone expected them to know. The parents were murmuring. I knew they wouldn't know so I got up even though my hair was in some weird updo. I got everyone onto one side but then more people arrived and sat on the wrong side. Then the people in the middle were holding up books maybe for getting friends.
