What dreams may come

A blog to keep track of my dreams and hear the interesting interpretations of others. The dreams are as much as I can recall of them and may be out of order and in rather rough format.

Paper and potholes

Dreams April 30th:

There was an exam paper that was written that I had not marked because there was no name on it. There were all kinds of problems with it that would have made it difficult to mark. But then I noticed that there was a student number on it, so I should have marked it, but now the marks were in.

I was biking on Princess St. but instead of it being a one way street downhill, it was a one way street in the opposite way (uphill). I biked part of the way and walked part of the way (because it was uphill). There were lots of potholes, mostly on the sidewalk. It was not well maintained.

There was a school (or something institutional)and families could visit. When you visited you were expected and they put your name on a wall by where you had to sit. When you sat there it covered up your name, so if you were missing it was glaringly obvious because your name was there. 'Heather' was missing at the time we were there.

Bathrooms

Dream April 24 between 3-4am:

I dream that we were living with Gerald. Myron was sick and needed to use the bathroom, but Gerald was using our bathroom. We were living in a big dorm style building so we went looking for another bathroom he could use. But all of the bathrooms I kept finding we female only and Myron didn't want to use them if they looked all girly! Myron was so sick he was crawling. The first bathroom was a single female one. The next one that could accomodate maybe 3 females. The building was divided in half. We had to flip to the other half to find the male ones. Also something to do with my curling iron.

James woke me at 4am.

The Mall

Dream from April 23rd:

I was in a mall and I think I had a stall selling things. There were 2 other ladies beside me that also had stalls to sell things but they weren't selling anything and they had very bad attitudes about it. They were rude and disrespectful of people who came to look at their stuff. At the end of the day, as they were unhappily starting to pack up, I decided I would buy a couple of the one ladies product. She was selling very nice clothes indeed. I thought I would buy 2 sundresses. She was selling them for $20 each. When I got closer to the dresses, I saw how much more beautiful they were than from far away. The first one I liked had thick horizontal stripes of many different colours, with a thin stripe of white seperating the colours from each other. Another was a depiction of 'night' with sparkley things on it. It was more a piece of art than a dress. (Shari probably would have enjoyed this dream). There were more than one dress that I liked. As I was looking the lady come up and grumbled about me probably wanting a discount. At the time I had not thought about that. I had $40 in cash and was planning to pay full price. But I said as I was looking at a blue outfit with a couple of pieces: If I try on your clothes here and buy your clothes here, shouldn't I get a discount?
While I had the $40 cash, I had asked Myron if he had his credit card to put the 'extra' on if there was some remainder (I guess from tax). He was perplexed.

James was going swimming at an indoor pool. Not sure if it was lessons or if Myron had gone in first or if he was going on his own. But I was at the entrance to the facility with him. There was a line I could not cross because I was not going swimming. I think James was going naked! There was a very high rack to put things like a washclosh, maybe an umbrella. From behind the line, I couldn't reach this rack, so I had to throw his stuff toward the rack. The washcloth fell to the floor. I think he had already run off to do his swimming, because I think I recall leaving the washcloth on the floor because I couldn't get it back to put it up. I did not see the water at all in this dream.

Joanna and the decision

Dream from April 19th:

Joanna had a decision to make. Her friends were trying to help her. Franceen spoke first, then I quoted (in the dream which truly impressed me!) from T.D. Jakes' book 'God's Leading Lady' in the chapter 'Monuments and Moments' p.259 "If you are going to lead a life's performance that produces a meaningful legacy and not merely an entertaining show, then you must take His words to heart (In the last paragraph he was talking about the verse 'But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her") Each day you will be forced to make decisions that will have a significant impact on both your daily performance and your lifetime legacy. And from my experience, it's not always an easy choice. The difficulty is usually not in having to choose between what appears good and what appears evil- those choices are rather easy. The real difficulty is choosing from among several good options, several necessary possibilities, many urgent demands" (bold is what I actually spoke during the dream)

I met Joanna's boyfriend! A man with a sweet spirit and he was willing to support Joanna no matter what decision she made, though it was obvious one choice would benefit him more than another because either Joanna would be nearby or far away. He lived in house #200 on a street that began with M (in my dream, at least) Joanna's parents lived further down the street. The houses on this street were little bungalows (not like Joanna's parents house now!) The boyfriend was not at home, but his car was and I opened the trunk of the car and started shoveling stuff out. (I don't think I actually saw what it was that I was shoveling).

Then I went to eat an orange, but they were all bad.

Joanna was planning a vacation and there were 2 sales- one to France to a lace making area that had tickets that were 2 for one and one to another location in France on a reduced fare.

Traffic

dream from April 20:

I was on a train with a number of females. In the dream they were my friends, but I didn't recognize anyone. The train was a double decker one- like a double decker bus, but on rails. We had been travelling a bit and we came to a road. The road had no level crossings or anything. It was a one-way street that we were crossing. A busy one with 8 lanes. We just crossed the road, giving no mind to the cars. I and the girls were on the top section of the train and watching the cars just get out of the way in time. We were saying 'ooh' and were concerned for the cars. No cars got hit. We got across the road and stopped because the tracks went into a building and there was a door exactly the size of the train to open. Those of up on the top part of the train had to lean out and push on the door together.
